1. Purpose

Edculcate India Private Limited (“Edculcate”, “we”, “our”, “us”) values the privacy of every user of the Kwala India mobile application (“App”).
This Data Deletion Policy explains how users can request deletion of their personal data associated with the Kwala India App and how we ensure that all such data is securely removed from our systems, in compliance with applicable data protection laws in India.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all personal and gameplay related information collected and stored through the Kwala India App, including but not limited to:

  1. User account information (name, email ID, etc.)
  2. App activity logs and preferences
  3. Any other data voluntarily provided by the user within the app

3. User Rights to Data Deletion

Kwala India users have the right to request the deletion of their personal data at any time. Upon receiving a valid request, we will permanently delete or anonymize all user-related information from our active databases, except where retention is required for legal, regulatory, or legitimate operational purposes (such as fraud prevention or reward processing verification).

4. How to Request Data Deletion

  2. Registered email ID or phone number used on the app.
  3. A clear statement requesting deletion of your Kwala India account and related data

Once we receive your request, we will verify your identity for security reasons and confirm the request within 7 working days. The deletion process will be completed within 30 days after verification.

5. Data Deletion Procedure

After receiving a verified request, we will follow these steps:

  1. Verification: Confirm the user’s identity and ownership of the Kwala India account.
  2. Data Identification: Locate all data associated with the user’s account across our systems and third-party services.
  3. Permanent Deletion: Remove or anonymize the user’s data from active systems and backups.
  4. Confirmation: Notify the user once the data has been deleted successfully.

6. Exceptions to Deletion

Certain data may be retained even after a deletion request, including:

  1. Data necessary to comply with legal obligations or government requests.
  2. Financial transaction details required for record-keeping.
  3. Aggregated or anonymized data used for analytics that cannot be traced back to any individual.

In all such cases, the retained data will be securely stored and used only for the specific lawful purpose.

7. Third-Party Data

Kwala India may use third-party services (for analytics, rewards distribution, or hosting). We will notify these partners of any valid deletion requests and ensure they take corresponding action to delete user data as per their own data handling policies and applicable laws.

8. Data Security

Data stored in secure backup systems will be automatically purged during the next scheduled backup cycle, typically within 90 days from the deletion date. All backups are encrypted and inaccessible for operational use during this period.
